Hey Chris,

The video description says you will show how to test pickup on a Beckwith relay but then you show how to test automatic ramp pickup with the Manta on a SEL relay. Was there a mistake in the videos description?

Thanks for the heads-up.

Should be all fixed now.

Do you have example using Alstom/GE Micom relay or Schneider Micom relay ?
We have a utility that mainly using those type of relay.

Chris Werstiuk (Administrator) January 13, 2021 at 1:43 pm

We don’t have an example of any Micom relays yet.

Are you talking about a modern one, or an old-school k-series?

Do you know a rep in the US I can contact?

What model would be a good feeder relay example?

When talking about ” forward fault and reverse fault” :
1. How do the relay determines it is a fault in ” forward or reverse directions?
2. What is the CT connections like for” forward fault and reverse fault”?

Thanks
Joshua

Chris,

Is the DIGSI software for Siemens Relays only available for purchase?

Chris Werstiuk (Administrator) August 4, 2022 at 10:33 pm

There is some dispute over that. It reads on the website like it is purchase only, but may people say you can download the software and use a free version.

I’m not sure because the license someone in the 90s gave me still works.

You can check out the comments in https://valence.relaytraining.com/topic/topic-s1-5-01-upload-sel-relay-settings/ and see if they still work.
